Kirin Macapugay also organized a Youth Canao in 2012, where youth of families from San Diego, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Maryland were invited to learn of backstrap weaving, a method used by all the tribes, and the use of numerous Kalinga bamboo percussion instruments.

The beat goes on as BIBAK San Diego continues to play, gathering at local parks to learn and create music and dance, and hoping you will join us this July at San Diego's Town and Country Hotel.
